Sominex is a lesser-known, over the counter sleep aid distributed by GlaxoSmithKline. It can generally be found at drugstores.

Sominex comes in two formulas. The original formula contains 50mg. of diphenhydramine in a 2 tablet dose. The maximum formula contains 50mg. of diphenhydramine in a 1 capsule dose.

The most common complaint associated diphenhydramine is a feeling of grogginess the next day.
